purple or purple?

Not very often I dip into my Debbi Moore drawer, but decided too for the monthly swap over at Card Exhange UK on yahoo groups, knowing the recipient liked sewing & reusing things, this made an ideal theme.

All of the bits used came from Shabby Chic compendium.

Hot Beverage

On a roll with the Christmas cards, this the 3rd week... I promise I won't be counting up every week but its still a novelty *lol*

For some reason this looks a bit blurry.

everything else from NitWit Collection "Cookin' Cookies"
green shiny xmas twine
Hobby House taupe gems.

Very easy card, printed off a design sheet with topper & embellishments on, didn't use any of the embellishments though, cut out, layered up, chose matching papers from NitWit paper pack and stuck down, voila - card!

lots of presents

I bought this cd years ago and never used it, looked at it then put it away, having been bitten by the vintage bug over the past couple of years - more this year since I found the Gecko Galz, I dusted it off and decided to put the images with the Creata Christmas pack I bought for last year. So my Christmas cards this year are funky vintage. Hope the recipients like them ; )

one thing.....

leads to another, is something which happens to me a lot! I get distracted and never get to do what I was intending to. Today was slightly different - I was intending to do a card, using an image I tangled, from a new purchase of Peerless Designs "Tangletastic 1" crafting cd:

then I had an idea, which featured this photo frame:

three hours, much colouring in, many butterflies and gems later, it had morphed into this:

I was going for less is more, but once I started I couldn't stop, plus it was a big frame (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) I do love how it turned out and am quite proud of myself as this is something I've never done before.

time to craft

No new craft for a bit, due to having a bad month and for the last week, a stinking cold which rendered me almost zombie like, flat out on the sofa squished under a duvet. And now I've passed it onto Andrew, bless him. I keep telling him its True Love ;)

Anyhoo, yesterdays digi scrapbook page was the first thing I've crafted since the middle of April! Really enjoyed playing around with the new toy CAP2 as well.

today I have made a male birthday card, have to admit I do prefer paper crafting rather than digital, just because I love hands-on fiddling & faffing.
Although trying to glue the washers onto the paper strip was a bit too much faff......

Spring has sprung

A commission card done for one of my Uncle's, also tied in the theme for cardz4guyz  weekly challenge, I love this image, its so serene and I don't think it needs a very embellished card so I kept it simple, printed a few off and I'm going to have a go with water colour pencils, also got an idea for some sort of  wall hanging - totally enamoured with this stamp!

the colours of Fall

Over on Peel-off-crazy, May's Monthly Make theme was Fall/or colours of Fall, I was thinking about an altered matchbox but hadn't really given myself enough time to do it in, so stuck with a card.

the colours come together nice, but the blue stands out, it reminds me of those cards that little corner shops used to sell with random images on, which didn't quite match the card, which old aunties or grannies used to send on a birthday. (no offence meant to any old aunties or grannies reading this post! I'm thinking circa 1978ish!)

waist not want not

Using off cuts from a Debbi Moore Shabby chic design sheet, I made this atc, as its going to be posted I didn't want too embellish it too much, uurrgh postage costs, so kept sticky out things too a minimum *lol* - dress maker pins and a couple of buttons, inked round the topper with Bronze, my favourite inky colour.
