Over on the Gecko Galz blog, the challenge for March is 'Springtime in Paris'.
Feel free to join in and have a play - there is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE product from the Gecko Galz but it can also be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!! The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz shopping spree!
So today, I've made an A5 card - I was going to do a 'stand-up' card but decided it should be a proper folded card, I might make a cream box for it to go in rather than use an envelope.
I used a paper from the Parisian Dreams Paper Pack, printed it out twice, one for the background and one to use as decoupage, although I only decoupaged the bigger Eiffel Tower image, I did cut out the smaller one, but didn't use it as the flowers were going to be covering a part of it.
The flowers and the embellishments came from Craft Box - I love the little vintage cabouchon - must try and get some more of these, I used another in another project..... posting tomorrow.
The sentiment I found whilst tidying up my desk so I could get a space to work..... normal sized desk - actual work space the size of an A4 paper *lol*

Ooops!
With not much time left to enter a Vintage Valentine challenge, I decided to do a tag (which will later be turned into a topper for next years Valentines day).
Over at the Gecko Galz hang out on Facebook one challenge was red & pink and another was to use Heather Hudson's freebie design sheet..... So yesterday afternoon I printed the sheet off and set too. This morning I faffed and fiddled with various layouts, bits of ribbon, lace, pearls and hearts till I came up with something along the lines of want I wanted. Out came the glue.

Sorry its a bit dark but the lighting isn't very good.
I fussy cut the girl out the middle of the heart, then cut the border of the heart out so each was a standalone image.
At the last minute I decided to go mad and totally cover the heart border with pearls, happy with the effect. Then i decided to use clear nail varnish on the rose to make it look a bit dewy. This needed two coats to give it the finished effect i wanted.
Ta-da, finally finished.
Went to upload my tag and realised I'd forgot to add an actual Gecko Galz image. Duh!!
Oh well, I really enjoyed making the tag - and that's what counts.

Babies/Children
I am really pleased how this card turned out, everything just clicked together beautifully. Not as full as I normally do, but what's there is 'enough'.
This image is adorable.
Although I did have to cheat - no cream cardstock, so had to use cream paper as the background!

Ooops, I did it again
Well, week 2 of me joining in over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge - the weather as turned very cold and snow is forecast in some areas over the weekend so it doesn't seem strange yet to be making Christmas cards.
I did struggle to make a card to fit the Plaid theme, as I have no plaid in my stash......not even a ribbon, but as it happens I was looking thorough my computer files for another challenge and came across this lovely little girl all muffled up against the cold AND wearing a plaid skirt! Woo!!

A 6x6 lilac Easter greeting card, done for a challenge, least I'm ready to post for next year, not that we post Easter cards, might be a tradition I get back into, lots of traditions are lost over the years so I think I will reinstate this one in our household.
