a day in the life

Had a lovely weekend, Saturday saw a trip to Bakewell, to go to the Farmers Market and then we pretended to be tourists ie - no dogs, so we could both go in shops together. Oh its the little things in life *g*
Had a lovely lunch, I had Derbsyhire rarebit. Wow. Cheese overload but very yummy.

Found two gorgeous little shops -

mister bee vintage hidden away down an alley, some lovely items, and a rather fab parasol I hung my nose over..... payday treat methinks.

and

hearts and roses interiors which is next to the alley.

just think of all that shopping goodness, all in 20 paces of one another

*sigh*

a path well travelled

Over at card exchange uk, a recent themed swap was 'Travel' which resulted in some lovely cards, this is mine -  still waiting to be posted because a) I forgot to post it and b) now I've forgotten who I was posting it too!

DoCrafts Urban Stamps
freebie A4 backing paper (from a magazine from a zillion years ago)
vintage postcard (never liked the image!)
old 1st class stamp.
pencil & black ink

Up, up and away

Using 'Steampunk curiosity' digi kit (my favourite!), a map off the internet and Tilez font of the web and a few embellishments I put this card together for a male birthday.

pretty pastel

Using 'Loving Life' backing paper and topper, inked up a fancy serviette and added some matching gems, quite a simple card.

40 & fabulous, dahling!

Inspired by a card done by ladybug crafts  I thought this card would be perfect for a special birthday which was happening this month, especially as I had bought the leopard print backing card especially for the lady in questions card last year and chickened out of using it. 'winestool nikki' digi from Ladybug crafts. leopard print background from Kanban Crystal stickers from Dovecraft. Paper roses from 'Craft shop' and the usual dark mirror board from Joy! crafts. *lol*

and the moonbeams....

kissed the sea.

This is my favourite card so far, made this card for Peel Off Crazy (yahoo group) Monthly Make for March. Anything crafty goes as long as it features a peel-off on it somewhere.

Hot off the Press blue backing paper, a peel off sticker and Joy! Craft dark mirror card.

Topper done in CAP.

never fade away

two atcs made using scraps of various bits and bobs. Had the rub on sentiments (top atc) for a year or so and wasn't sure they would still rub off properly, which they didn't but I love the shabby look of them. Happy accident.

Vintage coffee

Orignally this was going to be a 5x5 card, but as I was playing with the layout I decided I wanted to match all the shapes, which was going to be a pain since I don't own any cutting machines or such like, then I remembered I'd got a chipboard album somewhere which I stashed away after sitting staring at it and thinking 'what am I going to do with this?' about two years ago....

Used two blank pages out of that, and Kanban's 'Coffee Shop' toppers, the background paper is from Kaisercrafts 'Gypsy Sisters' and a paper doilee serviette, distressed it all with bronze and gold ink and stuck a couple of gems on.

The photo makes it look quite flat though.

Entered into -  nutcrafters - shaped-cards
                        polkadoodles - pink-and-brown

Button it!

I love buttons. Love. Love. Love.

Sharing some button love  frampton beads and love vintage - love buttons  *happy sigh*

Anyhoo, back to reality.

Used Hot off the Press 'Soft Nostalgic' collection for this card. Two design sheets were basically the same so I decoupaged a few flowers to become the main feature. Dark mirror card from Creata finished the card off.

entering into - glitter n sparkle Button challenge

Va Va Vroom.......

I always have trouble with male cards, apart from Dad *lol*, so when I saw digistamp boutique's release for April, I had to have them - never fight the CraftingKarma!

All the papers came from Nitwits -  'Cookin Cookies' collection, added mini candi to fill the blank bits, and the digi stamp is Sports Car Alf, sentiment was done in CAP.

Dad

Said this before but dad doesn't like fancy cards, so this was a very quick and simple card to do for his birthday last month. Used a Hunkdory bacground card cut down, some gold mirror card and a lovely chocolate brown ribbon.
