just because
totally unrelated items bought from the same charity shop in Sutton in Ashfield, don't know what I'm going to use the tea time pot for, probably sugar or my green tea bags. The tortoise? I just bought because he looked so cute and lonely, he now sits on the cupboard in the living room.

pan stand or is it?
Spotted these (two identincal ones) in my favourite charity shop in chesterfield, where I work. Not using them as pan trivets/trivetts........ going to hang them under one another on a wall, love the tarnished brown coppery look which goes with the décor in my living room, or as my grandma would say 'back' room and where we watch tv is the parlour. Nobody uses parlour any more, its a shame we lose lovely words in the name of modernity and progress. Not going to get on my shouty step!

horses of courses!
Over at cardz 4 guyz the challenge this week celebrates the Chinese New Year, the year of the horse.
I wanted to do a vintage looking card, so popped over to the graphics fairy to see look through her amazing image library, eventually settling on this French thorobred horse (which is what the wording on the picture translates to), to keep the French theme I put bon anniversaire as the greeting

The dog was roughly coloured in on purpose although it was accidental that I made him lop-eyed!
Have christened him Worf after my beloved Boxer who we had for 10 happy wappy years.
