Feature Day at Gecko Galz

Today is my day to feature my Design Team project for 'Beach Blanket Bingo' over at  Gecko Galz

An A5 card using an image from 'Lighthouse Jewel It' - I choose this image as the colours are so striking, backed it with white card then onto blue paper to match the boat.

You can just imagine a grumpy old fisherman getting out of the boat and taking supplies up to the Lighthouse for the Keeper.

I hope you'll join our Beach Blanket Bingo challenge where the winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at the Gecko Galz shop.
The only rule is that you must use at least one Gecko Galz product, which can be something you purchased from the shop or a freebie.

If you sign up for the Gecko Galz newsletter, you'll be able to claim a free collage sheet each month and get first claim on the $1 Wednesday deals!

Why don't you pop over to the Gecko Galz blog to see all the fabulous designs by the very talented Design Team - and this month we have new amazing talent on the team, so make sure to check those ladies out! Don't forget to grab the free digi stamp on each post.

We also have a Facebook Group where there are more monthly challenges for you to play in, each with a Design Sheet to win.

Beach Blanket Bingo at Gecko Galz

A new month means a new Customer Challenge at the Gecko Galz and the theme for the month of August is 'Beach Blanket Bingo'

So why not play along - join the challenge with the chance to win $25 at the Gecko Galz shop!

The past month or so, here in the UK, has definitely been Beach weather but this week its been thunderstorms, rain and more rain. Still warm though, but heavy, claustrophobic warm, it should be heating up again by the end of the week, so still plenty of Beach time left!

My first sample is a pack of four notelets, I chose four black and white images from 'Vintage Summer'.

Using Craft Artist Professional 2, I resized them to fit A5 cards, added an orange (Sunshine!!) border and then printed them out, then I just cut them out following the edge of the border and stuck them onto the card blanks. Hey presto retro notelets!

For my second sample I decided to do some atc's digitally and then print them out,

I picked three ladies from 'Summer Sweeties' and digitally cut them away from their pictures. Now, as the challenge is Beach Blanket Bingo, I decided to use a bingo card from 'Alter Me' as the background to each atc, I faded it away then added the lady and used the sentiments from 'Junk Journal Pages'.

I accidently printed two copies so I decided to cut the sentiments out and stuck them over themselves - edged in Cerise promarker -  the pink is for Breast Cancer, and these 3 atcs are my tribute to a close friend of mine who has suffered the worst kind of breast cancer and beaten its sorry ass to the end of the world and beyond! Be confident, Be brave and Be amazing pretty much sums up what I think she is, I am so proud to know her and call her my friend. And she'd kill me if she knew I was being soppy....

I hope you'll join in with our 'Beach Blanket Journey' Challenge, where the Winner gets a $25 shopping spree to spend at the Gecko Galz shop. (The only rule is that you must use at least one Gecko Galz product... this can be one of the freebies, or, of course, you can buy at the Etsy shop).

If you sign up for the Gecko Galz monthly newsletter, you'll be kept up to date with new releases, $1 Wednesday deals and be able to claim a free digital collage sheet.

If you pop over to the Gecko Galz blog, you will see all the fabulous designs by the Design Team - and maybe grab a freebie or two.

If you haven't a blog/and or/ on Facebook, head over to the Gecko Galz Papercrafting Group where there are more monthly challenges, with the chance to win a digital collage sheet.
