'Bugs..... I hate bugs' says one Colonel O'Neill, so I opted for the birds of this challenge.

Although I did take a photo of a black & orange bug sunbathing on a pub bench with 5 or 6 of its mates, whilst we were taking liquid refreshment on a rather warm afternoon whilst walking the dogs..... its on my phone so I found one on the internet.

File:An orange and black spiky ladybird larvae.jpg ...

and apparently its a Harlequin Ladybird larvae. Who knew they looked like that when they were 'little'!!!!

and this is what they look like when they're all grown up

Harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis)

all the above info was found at UK Ladybird Survey and no copyright infringement was intended.

I love ladybirds, but there never seems as many around as when I was little, some 35/40 years ago....

Anyhoo, on with the card making -
