made a new card today for a swap themed 'gems, swirls, flourishes,

I had fun stamping (and made a mess) but not sure if I like the finished result, maybe teabagging the card would have been better - going to try that out tomorrow......

Now I have all my crafting stuff (for want of a better word) upstairs in a corner (which is slowly taking over) of the spare bedroom, I seem to be crafting alot more. Mmm, is that good or bad *g* ANd have now got about 8 atcs to my name, all bundled up in a little, well, bundle! So here's a couple

The top one: the picture is from artezine, with black then copper ink embossesd round the edges. (this was one of my first attempts with an heat gun)

The bottom one: is a mix of crayon (for the background) and acrylic paint (for the filled hearts) with a couple of peel offs I came across.

I'm actually going to post my July dues for ukatc tomorrow *preens* I've never been able to do that as quick! Only now I've got too pick which 3 to send. Yikes.

And I've also done a card for July Cardexchangeuk as well.

I'm being efficient........it won't last.

In my other online life I am a fangirl *sighs* I know, I know, I should really grow up and stop behaving like a hormonally-charged teenager but I always find that bit of eye candy brightens up the dullest of days.

Anyway after watching the last ever Ashes to Ashes (what on earth am I going to watch on Fridays now? Apart from Navy NCIS and Criminal Minds?) I ended up doing an atc of it, sadly inspiration strikes me in the most wierd and wonderful ways *shakes head* I was reading "The Holiday" by Erica James and it had the quote in it, which just about sums Ashes to Ashes up and then I found the backing paper, courtesy of Royal Mail National Savings envelope I had, yes I said my inspiration is wierd! And voila!!

I've been wanting to set up a online shop for a while now, apart from my ebay page - which I don't use alot, to put up my Postcard Prose range on, anyway yesterday whilst perusing the altered art pages on ebay I came across this site http://www.misi.co.uk and fell in love with it and all the gorgeous products on there, so I decided to sell on there, my page is http://www.postcardprose.misi.co.uk I'm still getting the hang of it but there are a couple of cards up.
But even if you don't look at my page, you gotta check the other products out.

I made this card for my step mom for Mothers Day using a design from Penny Wessenauer website, theres a link to her site in my tool bar. There are loads of stunning designs on there; decoupage, tea bags etc, with a wide range of themes. There are also card templates to download. I love looking round this site, the only thing is I end up with about 3 or 4 designs for just the one card - its so hard to choose! (luckily in Dee's case its her birthday as well so I used my other choice for her birthday card)

Postage stamps atcs

these are 3 atcs I made over the last few days, I bought a bag full of old stamps from a car boot I went to, and have only used the odd one or two in the past, so I decided to use them as a main background. So the theme was based on what you use stamps for - holiday postcard, love letter and books/travel/postcard. (I ignored the 'recession' atc - the one with all the bills)

Feather Art

I got an email yesterday which featured 'feather art'. I hadn't seen this craft before and was absolutly blown away by the photos, so I googled feather art and got a few hits on various websites. I can't believe the detail on the feathers, or how anyone can do that on such a small, delicate feather! Its so amazing and inspiring!

Ages ago I made an Altered CD, now this is my first attempt and I was actually impressed with the finished project. Others may not be *g* I saw them on other blogs etc, and finally decided to have a go. So out came the glue, mulberry paper and some embellishments. I now have around 10 junk cds waiting to be done and they've been waiting for some time.........
