groovy chick

I usually make my entry for wicked Wednesday tomorrow, but as I'm doing an extra shift then, I needed to do it today before I forgot and missed this weeks challenge.

Gecko Galz - Hippy design sheet (2)

In CAP2, I cut and resized the image I wanted, and did the same for the background. I have an atc sized work page in my files to make life easier. I expanded the backing image to fit the blank space, then altered the transparency level soften the colours.

I used the Cut-out Studio to pull the girl out from the scene she was in, this was a very slow process as I tend to over work the mouse as I haven't got very steady hands so I have to go real slow when trying to follow outlines etc. When I was happy with the end result, I placed her on the page.

Using a funky font -  I think its Hermann HT or something, I placed text onto the page and then moved everything around until I was happy with the layout.

I then opened my A4 work page and copied and pasted everything onto that, so I don't have to resize again and again. I copied the background twice and the girl once and printed.

I did two copies of the background because I wanted the text to look like it was part of the page and not just stuck on.
I stuck the background on and then  using a craft knife I cut the text out of the other bit and inked the edges with a promarker (almond) to get rid of the white edges, I then stuck them over the original words on the backing paper using pads to raise them up a bit.
Did the same with the girl only used soft pink promarker to give her more of a contrasting edge and then used tape to stick her flat.

Filled the bottom left gap with a glittery foam flower I found - cut it in half & stuck it at the top, to balance it out.
