vintage atc

vintage style atc done for a challenge over on wicked wednesday atc blog

doily
Jodie Lee Designs 'Fairy Belle collection' b/paper
HobbyCraft light blue pearls
Santoro packaging

I stuck a doily onto the atc blank, cut round the edges.
Using an off cut from making a card, I made it the same size as the atc - then folded it half longways, then half again the other way, unfolded it and then folded the corners in leaving some of the paper in the middle showing, then  I turned those edges back on themselves slightly - this is quite hard to explain! I took inspiration from a  Keenan Kreations tutorial over on YouTube.
I then stuck the folded paper to the atc.

I looked around for something to pop into the middle of the oblong ( didn't want to have to print something off, as once I get on the computer I get distracted and woosh! half a day gone!), and spotted this little bird/flower scene on some Santoro paper flowers packaging, perfect pic for the size and theme of what I wanted to do, so snipped that out (eventually, talk about child proof packaging!!!), it looked a little plain just put in the middle so I stuck my doily scrap to the back and it filled the space quite nicely, also mirrored the doily background. Finally, stuck some of the blue pearls onto the corners of the atc & matched them up with gems stuck to the corners of the folded paper. Voila!! Vinatge atc.

I'm thinking this would make a lovely topper, using the mirroring technique - white or cream card stock, doily, baby blue ribbon and then the topper.
